Every piece begins on the wheel and becomes a canvas for freehand illustration — no transfers, stencils, or templates. Each composition is carved directly into the clay and painted with microbrushes using twenty or more individually mixed glazes. The animals and ecosystems of the Blue Ridge mountains, observed daily from our remote studio, provide endless inspiration. No two pieces are ever alike.

ABOUT
Feyfolken is an Appalachian ceramic design duet evolved from a love of folklore, nature, and art traditions from around the world. Our work draws on self-taught skills in sculpture, printmaking, painting, and pyrography.
Our porcelain figure sculptures and sgraffito art vessels are one of a kind creations, glazed with microbrushes and kiln fired to over 2200 deg. F to create lasting heirlooms. Each piece is an original design meticulously handcrafted by master ceramicists.
Feyfolken studio and homestead perches in the remote cliffs of the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains, surrounded by flora and fauna that inspire our work.
Feyfolken work is held in private collections across the United States, Canada, Australia, Germany, The U.K, and France, and is currently represented by
Mars Landing Galleries in Mars Hill, NC.
